UPDATE: As of Monday, March 16, teachers were given the following directive:
“In an effort to provide on-going exploratory educational resources and skill maintenance activities, the District Office has generated an educational resources page linked below and on the district website:
On this page, users will find Exploratory Educational Activities for Language Arts and Mathematics, Online Curriculum, Supplemental Resources, and Parent Resources. Do NOT conduct off-site face-to-face meetings with students. For those students and families that do not have digital access, hard copy materials will be available on-site where meals are distributed. These activities are designed to provide 10 days of activities.
For the time being and until further direction from Instructional Services, you are directed to NOT supplement resources for students specific to our school site or the courses you teach. All curricular and instructional decisions and materials will be made by and sent from Instructional Services. The purpose of this directive is to ensure that we are uniform and consistent throughout the school district. All school-based personnel are prohibited from creating or disseminating any curriculum other than which has been provided. The message we are sending to our school communities is,“We continue to provide skill maintenance activities and encourage exploratory learning activities.”
Please be reminded, DO NOT PUBLISH, ADVERTISE OR MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR ANY OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES BESIDES THOSE PROVIDED ON THE DISTRICT-CREATED WEBSITE.
